About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Campbell Regional Network Enterprise Center.
Duties
Assist with analyzing and coordinating acquisitions for RNEC and Local Enterprise Center (LNEC) assets.
Provide assistance in research in support of acquisition actions.
Provide customer service and support to Command employees in government travel related matters.
Assist in monitoring and managing IT asset license and maintenance requirements.
Serve as a DTS administrator, gathering and analyzing program data to ensure the avoidance of fraud, waste and abuse via travel claims.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Overtime and on-call duty may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements.
- May be required to perform 24 x 7 shift work in support of operational IT related mission/after duty hours on call/emergency requirements.
- Subject to callback requirement to report to duty within 2 hours of notification due to mission requirements.
- TDY up to 10% may be required. Government regulations will be followed for all official travel.
- The employee may be required to possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
- It Level III; Position Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive, Tier 1, no clearance.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by assisting with the management of acquisition packages from creation through the approval process to final contract award; reviewing budgetary input from organizational activities to recommend funding priorities; and providing oversight or advice for organizational travel programs or expenditures.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Business Management or Business-related field.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
