Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Intelligence Operations Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Immediate Office of the Secretary to optimize business results and customer experience to: Independently coordinate, monitor, and integrate specific trends and patterns in public health, global health diplomacy, terrorist, and/or international strategic information for the HHS Secretary, Deputy Secretary, ONS leadership, and key personnel. Extensively monitor strategic information and intelligence programs designed to fill the informational gaps in existing strategic information and draft appropriate Priority Intelligence Requirements and Requests for Information to address these information needs. Independently research, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate all source intelligence data, and other sources of classified and unclassified data, plans, or products pertaining to public health in order to contribute to or independently produce oral and/or written briefing products for HHS policymakers. Actively share information in the interagency intelligence sharing framework and remains abreast of current intelligence issues that impact HHS and its diverse areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: For GS-12: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Coordinating and implementing an intelligence program to include: researching, reviewing, interpreting, evaluating and integrating intelligence data, sources of classified and unclassified data. Monitoring and disseminating intelligence information. Preparing intelligence products. For GS-13: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Monitoring and evaluating organizational intelligence operation activities to determine potential risks. Engaging in the complex technical analysis and production of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of organizational requirements. Analyzing large quantities of intelligence data from various sources and advising on developments requiring immediate action. Writing intelligence reports of findings and presenting recommendations to working groups, committees, and senior leadership. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
