You will serve as a Security Officer in the Security Division, Administrative Department of SUPSHIP GULF COAST.
Duties
You will be responsible for ensuring the sound, effective and consistent program management of the Command Security Programs, utilizing proven management tools, techniques and clearly defined relationships.
You will serve as the technical authority for the development and management of Command Security Programs, including Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial Security, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) and Operations Security (OPSEC).
You will be responsible for the oversight of the ATFP, OPSEC and COMSEC Programs.
You will administer the command security education, training, and awareness programs.
You will serve as the Security Contracting Officer for Security Matters.
You will maintain oversight of disclosure of documents and data to foreign entities.
You will coordinate with Navy Security Officials, Program Managers, Ship's Force and Project Office Personnel to provide advice and guidance for resolution of critical security issues affecting multiple ship platforms.
You will manage the Information, Personnel, Physical, Industrial and Insider Threat security programs.
You will lead and guide others in formulating and executing team plans.
You will plan, direct, and evaluate SSGC security programs and disseminate security policy and procedures.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating a security program (e.g. Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial Security, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP), EKMS/ COMSEC, or Operations Security (OPSEC)) to protect or safeguard classified, sensitive, or restricted information, materials, or property from unauthorized personnel, disclosure, theft, or espionage.
