This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Intelligence Analysis, Cyber and Emerging Technology Intelligence Directorate. As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist (Group Chief), you will manage several daily operations, including collaboration with the financial services sector, driving collection requirements, and production of all-source intelligence products on complex threat finance and economics topics related to U.S. national security.
Duties
Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.
As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist (Group Chief), you will:
- Create and oversee the execution of an annual research and production program for OIA which addresses and reflects mission objectives and customer interests and priorities.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of current intelligence items, products, and presentations to the financial services sector across the branches under its management.
- Represent the Department of the Treasury and the Office of Intelligence and Analysis in senior-level internal and interagency meetings, including IC working groups on issues related to the specific areas of responsibility of the office.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes demonstrated, professional experience in ALL of the following:
-Directly supervising and managing the formulation of intelligence research and support across multiple portfolios; AND
-Directly supervising and managing the development of policies, reports, assessments, or memoranda on national security topics related to cyber, economics, finance, or terrorism topics; AND
-Directly supervising a staff/team of intelligence analysts (i.e., evaluating work performance of subordinates, developing performance standards, providing for development/training for employees, approving overtime and travel expenses, and approving leave requests/validating time cards).
