This position is located in the Probate Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and provides research services across a wide range of content areas supporting the work of the Elder Justice Innovation grant. The grant project will create benchmarks for program development and evaluation related to adult guardianship matters; and will contribute to the larger work of evidence-based knowledge and facilitate training opportunities to build capacity in the stakeholder community.

  • Background and security investigation are required.
  • A probationary period of one (1) year must be successfully completed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Behavior Science, Social Science, or a related field, plus four (4) years of demonstrated experience conducting applied research in a public sector/government setting, preferably in a court/criminal justice system agency. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparing and presenting research findings for diverse audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships, collaborate on research projects, and work as part of a team Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated knowledge of and experience with standard statistical analysis system packages. Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts are required.  If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.   The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.
