Duties
This position is located under the Office of Human Resources and Professional Development, Workforce Planning and Analysis Division in Washington, District of Columbia.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Courses acceptable for qualifying for operations research positions may have been taken in departments other than Operations Research, e.g., Engineering (usually Industrial Engineering), Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management Science.
In addition to the basic requirements you must meet the specialized experience.
GS-15 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
Managing or leading a team; AND
Leading/conducting complex workforce planning initiatives that include workforce analysis and forecasting future staffing needs.
Applying knowledge of a wide range of budget processes, policies, procedures, and regulations to formulate, justify, and monitor budget activities; AND
Providing advice and decision making to senior leadership on workforce development and planning.
