This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Seventh Coast Guard District, Sector San Juan, Command Center, in San Juan PR.

This position serves as a Coast Guard Sector Command Center (SCC) Operations Unit Watchstander maintaining information management, situational awareness, and command and control over all Coast Guard operations in the Sector area of responsibilityBeing a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Qualifications

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include:  Collecting initial information to classify search and rescue (SAR) cases and begin case documentation; Providing tracking and other sensor information to support missions; Providing course and speed information to response assets to coordinate arrivals at a particular point; and writing final situation reports about search and rescue (SAR) cases. ORPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeORLL.M., if relatedOR A combination of successfully completed equivalent education and experience.
