Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As an Supervisory Public Health Analyst, you will use your knowledge of and experience with principles, practices, methods, and techniques of administering public health programs to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Oversees the analysis and evaluation of organization policies, priorities, strategies arising from legislation, regulatory action, and other critical program or policy and plans.
Directs the numerous activities of the Regional Office, including formulation, establishment, interpretation, and evaluation of major programs.
Provides leadership and direction in the administration of mental health, substance abuse prevention and treatment initiatives including recovery support.
Communicates and coordinates activities with other Federal agencies in the Region with interest in identifying priority areas relating to organization programs.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications: Basic Requirements for all Public Health Program Specialist Series, 0685 positions require that you demonstrate specialized experience in each of the following five competencies:
Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts and practices applied by public, private, or nonprofit agencies and organizations engaged in public health or other health-related activities.
Knowledge of the methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in State and local settings.
Knowledge of a specialized public health program.
Knowledge of, and skill in, the application of administrative or analytical methods and techniques necessary for working within the framework of a public health or related organization and carrying out specific program functions.
Skill in oral and written communication, gathering and conveying information, making oral presentations, and preparing reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
AND
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing all of the following:
- Developing, formulating and managing, or administering health, human services, substance abuse or mental health programs at the state or federal level;
- Overseeing the analysis, and evaluation of organization policies, priorities, strategies arising from legislation, regulatory action, and other critical program or policy and plans;
- Conducting periodic, comprehensive evaluation of programs goals and objectives and adjusts and redefines objectives and resources as needed.
