Duties

As a Supervisory Support Services Specialist, you will perform the following duties: - Manage agreements for administrative shared services operations. Plan and coordinate shared services including operational support, budget formulation, personnel, procurement, customer communication, space management, emergency planning and physical security. Collaborate in planning and coordinating long and short-range program goals and objectives. Develop and execute annual plans and reports progress. Execute and maintain shared service agreements. - Oversee programs and provide guidance and analysis. Analyze facility security assessments and site/building access. Provide oversight of emergency preparedness programs. Provide guidance for risk mitigation strategies, and monitor and coordinate the closure of corrective action plans. - Collaborate with management on program issues, and prepare and conduct management briefings. Work with top management to carry out broad, complex administrative assignments. Present controversial and complex issues and recommendations. Brief senior management on the status of significant management activities. - Perform the full range of supervisory duties over a subordinate staff. Organize and assign work and make changes or adjustments to accomplish mission objectives. Evaluate work performance of subordinates and develop performance standards. Resolve grievances or employee complaints and make decisions on training needs and training requests.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify for the ZA-4 or GS-13 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the ZA-3 or GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following: - Planning and coordinating administrative service functions in the areas of budget formulation, customer communications, human resources, procurement, space management, and property accountability; - Providing support and advice to management on facility security and access, operations, emergency preparedness planning and risk mitigation strategies; - Communicating with management and stakeholders to consult, coordinate and negotiate resolution of programmatic issues and problems; and - Assigning work, setting priorities, and reviewing and evaluating work and performance of team members or staff.
