This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administrator (DEA), Information Systems Division (TC), Software Operations Section (TGS), Software Engineering Unit 1 (TGSO). This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Concorde custom-developed software applications along with maintaining legacy non-Concorde applications.

Duties

As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (IT Project Manager) - DETAIL NTE 180 DAYS your typical work assignments may include: Advising and providing counsel on special projects and programs regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying proper guidelines, policies, regulations, etc. Establishes policies and procedures for accomplishment of planning & integration work. Serving as a technical expert for developing, monitoring, and maintaining Concorde software applications. Providing expert guidance in the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing software applications. This position will provide supervisory guidance on technical project, but this is not a position that supervises employees.

Qualifications

The Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210, has an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR), which must be met for this position in addition to the specialized experience.Basic Experience Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
