The primary purpose of this position is to manage the provisioning effort for assigned systems/contracts and serve as a lead technician for lower graded personnel assigned to those programs. To review and process a wide variety of documentation to accomplish the provisioning process and to obtain supply support for a weapon system or component thereof.
Duties
Responsible for managing the provisioning effort on assigned programs.
Maintains surveillance over the cataloging and Supply Support Request (SSR) activities on assigned contracts.
Determines provisioning contractual requirements by analyzing programming documents, Statements of Work (SOW), data calls, and purchase requests to tailor the regulatory requirements to fit individual program requirements.
Plans, schedules, chair and participate in a variety of logistics and provisioning meetings.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience must include managing the provisioning effort for assigned systems/contracts and reviewing and processing a wide variety of documentation to accomplish the provisioning process and to obtain supply support for a weapon system or component thereof. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
OR
EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles and practices relating to Provisioning and Cataloging mission performance.
2. Knowledge of instructions and procedures to process provisioning technical documentation.
3. Knowledge of work practices and procedures of AFMC and other applicable automated provisioning systems.
4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written format.
5. Skilled in using office automation software to prepare reports, briefings and documents.
6. Knowledge of Air Force supply systems, regulations covering submission of Supply Support Requests to other agencies and services and of the regulations and local policy and procedures covering cataloging, and D 143C Cataloging System.
7. Ability to maintain good working relationships.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
