This position is located at Departmental Offices, Domestic Finance-Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC). As a POLICY ADVISOR, you will support the statutory missions of the Council and serves as a Policy Advisor in analyzing the economic, financial, and policy implications of matters before the Council.

Duties

In this role at FSOC, you will develop policy on financial stability-related issues, such as cyber, digital assets, climate-related financial risk, financial institutions, financial market utilities, and any other matters before the Council. As a POLICY ADVISOR, you will: Formulate, conduct, evaluate, and carry out a wide range of economic and financial analysis. Work with others and independently in coordinating analysis on matters before the Council. Develop research and analytical materials on matters of interest to the Council. Review and comment on research and policy documents from other Federal agencies.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-,14 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Experience leading projects related to financial, economic, or policy matters; AND Identifying or managing operational or financial risks related to financial markets or institutions; AND Preparing written research or analysis for use by senior officials in the private or public sector for the development of policy decisions, including briefing papers, reports, presentations, and/or memoranda regarding financial stability or economic or financial analysis; AND Conducting economic or financial analyses of the policies, programs, or practices of financial markets, such as capital markets, commodity markets, derivatives markets, or digital assets markets; or financial institutions, such as depository institutions, broker-dealers, investment companies, insurance companies, central counterparties, or digital assets institutions.
