About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Direct the activities of approximately 50 employees. Develop branch level input for responses and directed actions related to inspections, audits, and reviews. Provide branch support for programs/projects related to Distribution operations, quality, control, funding, safety, and environmental, radioactive, and ergonomic issues. Conduct inventory management duties for stock record account material. Coordinate the deliverables among various supplying contractors and in-house labor in provisioning the shops with the right tools at the right time.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart 1 USOGE,6/08).
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
