About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Perform as a team leader providing administrative guidance to a subordinate staff. Establish workload schedules for work assignments. Promote cohesiveness among team members on work projects. Develop guidance for lower grade personnel as required. Determine the quality work standards according to established guidelines.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assuring appropriate personnel are informed and trained; providing the supervisor with reports summarizing results of analysis in the form of studies or verbal presentations; conducting a variety of management studies and surveys; AND recognizing the significance of data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for proper courses of action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
