This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Supervision and Policy, Large Bank Supervision Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in financial analyses and supervisory work related to insured depository institutions.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. For CG-14: To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience examining large, complex financial institutions that are involved in capital markets, credit, or trading activities.
For CG-15: To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 14 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience examining large, complex financial institutions that are involved in capital markets; including derivatives or securitizations, credit, and trading activities.
Large, complex financial institutions may be defined as financial intermediaries engaged in some combination of commercial banking, investment banking, asset management and insurance, whose failure poses a systemic risk or externality to the financial system as a whole. These risks are intertwined among both insured and uninsured subsidiaries, and the largest and most complex of these companies often have global footprints and interdependent counterparty relationships with one another that increase their complexity and risk.
Applicants must be a Commissioned Risk Examiner in the FDIC.
