About the Position: Serves as Uniform Business Office (UBO) Assistant Manager at Evans Army Community Hospital. Serves as technical expert in developing, coordinating, and evaluating the Medical Services Accounts (MSA)/Third Party Collection Program (TPCP) and Debt Management of the hospital. This is direct hire solicitation.

Duties

Analyzes problems and present recommendations on how best to utilize resources and how to resolve issues. Ensures all areas of hospital reimbursements are billed, collected, transferred and deposited for hospital services. Compiles statistical information and reports on all reported and verified cases of fraud. Accomplishes work processes by using numerous manual and automation systems and software programs. Establishes and maintains a number of different subsidiary accounts to provide control and financial accountability in various financial systems. Uses personal computer to maintain account data in automated spreadsheets.

• Incumbent must acquire Financial Management Certification: Certification Level 2 within 2 years of being hired.
• Immunization screening may be required.
• This position is Inclement Weather Essential. This means that you must be willing to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes demonstrated/documented experience in 1) Reviewing and auditing payments/denials for proper reimbursements; 2) Performing internal audits on inpatient and outpatient claims to ensure proper billing and accounting codes are being used; and 3) Utilization of office automation software programs to maintain account data and to enter and extract accounts data reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Accounting or Finance, Business, Computer information/Science, Healthcare information Management, HealthCare Finance, Data Analytics, Management, Information Systems, Project Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
