This position is with the Office of Postsecondary Education, International and Foreign Language Education in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for performing administrative management work for an educationally related program directed towards improving American education.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification RequirementsYou may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-14, if you possess the specialized experience below.Specialized Experience for the GS-14One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-13 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:1. Experience in monitoring grant projects to ensure that the activities and implementation costs align with the program purpose. 2. Experience giving presentations to a wide range of stakeholders to promote the benefits of the educational program. 3. Experience using a variety of communication strategies to provide technical assistance and conduct outreach activities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement).1. Knowledge of principles, concepts, regulations, and practices governing grants management sufficient to serve as an agency authority with respect to the regulatory and/or the operational aspects of program requirements. 2. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory procedures to evaluate, analyze, implement, monitor and improve the grant process. 3. Knowledge of pertinent laws, agency policy, precedent cases, and procedures tomanage grants and agreements. 4. Skill in problem solving to identify and resolve a wide variety of difficult and complex grant administrative issues or problems.
