Duties
Serves as a supervisor within Defense Logistics Agency Payroll and Travel Services with responsibility for several enterprise-wide initiatives.
Initiatives include DLA Hire to Retire Payroll and Travel Programs, Payroll and Travel Reconciliation, and Government Purchase Card Training Program.
Utilizes professional knowledge of accounting principles to establish Agency guidance and procedures ensuring the integrity and compliance of financial data in the areas of responsibility.
Supports DLA audit initiatives, supporting sound attestation to the reconciliation of financial systems for payroll and travel in accordance with audit standards.
Recommends policies that impact substantive program goals and priorities throughout DLA in support of Hire to Retire Sustainment Division initiatives.
Performs analysis of DLA Payroll and Travel Services Operations and provides expert advice and sound recommendations on proposed functional or organizational changes.
Performs business cycle gap analysis, identifies and corrects audit deficiencies, develops and reviews policies, and presents factual findings to senior leaders on audit sustainment practices, policies, and related matters.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Audit Sustainment Coordinator, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to
successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at
the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent
under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements
including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum
qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Monitoring systems of record to maintain compliance and/or identify deficiencies in data integrity;
- Recommending improvements to processes or procedures in support of audit readiness/sustainment;
- Reconciliation of financial systems in payroll and travel;
- Creating reports/briefs in audit readiness/sustainment in support of management decision making.
- Leading, coaching, guiding, and directing the work of subordinates to ensure the efficient/effective accomplishment of work assigned.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
