Duties
This position is located in the Intelligence and Interagency Coordination Division (IICD), Protective Services Bureau (PSB), Protective and Intelligence Operations, Office of the Assistant Chief of Police for Protective and Intelligence Operations, in the United States Capitol Police (USCP). Serves as a technical expert for IICD and is responsible for assisting with the Intelligence and Interagency Coordination Programs. Responsible for overseeing intelligence analysis activities concerning threats and the potential impact on the U.S. Capitol Complex, visitors, VIPs, and Members. Represents IICD as a technical expert and authority in reporting activities and events to the Associate Director, Director of Intelligence, Deputy Chief of Protective Services Bureau, and the USCP executive management team. Provides assistance and highly unique expert consultation to the Associate Director, Director of Intelligence and the Deputy Chief of Protective Services Bureau on matters and strategies supporting USCP operations and activities.
Qualifications

CP-12 level - Qualifying experience includes specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) provides assistance and/or performs work to facilitate actions for major segments of complex intelligence, investigative and analytical activities for a broad geographical area; 2) gathers sensitive evidence and intelligence information that aids and enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of protective security programs and services; 3) provides support and assistance and/or evaluates and interprets incoming intelligence reports and other information vital to the success of protective and security programs.
