About the Position: Serves as a Program Manager for the Army Civilian Career Management Activity (ACCMA).
Duties
Identifies and justifies Mission Critical Occupations (MCO) to DoD and DA that are essential to current and future military and organizational mission accomplishment.
Creates, plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates career management programs for the education and development of Army Civilian careerists.
Responsible for the management of the student intern program, Army Civilian Development Program, Presidential Management Fellows, Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math program.
Engages and collaborates with Commands and Supervisors to ensure the CF maintains a well-qualified, motivated and well-balanced civilian workforce, capable of supporting Army missions.
Develops and seeks expansion of training and development opportunities for Army civilian personnel Army-wide.
Develops and executes marketing strategy for assigned CF and specific to Army Career Development Program (ACDP) apprentices and student interns to promote programs and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires TDY up to 25%
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This is an obligated position.

Specialized Experience: One year of experience using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct workforce planning; create career plans; develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate career management program. Provide expert advice on professional education, training, development, assignments and certification for Career Fields.

Time in Grade Requirement:Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
