As a Human Resources Specialist, you will act as an advisory liaison to Agency entities for guidance on Human Resources activities to ensure that communication is effective and conveys the policies and direction from the CHCO.

Duties

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: Have significant responsibilities for legal requirements of Human Resources actions that require investigations and litigation. Act as an advisory liaison to Agency entities for guidance on Human Resources activities to ensure that communication is effective and conveys the policies and direction from the CHCO. Provide Human Resources advice and guidance, serving as the AFRH agency contact within the office of the Chief Human Capital Officer.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-12, you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Performing a wide-range of difficult and sensitive assignments that require developing, maintaining, and consulting on procedures and policies to ensure effective handling of HR cases and documents, especially when responding to oversight agencies and Office of Personnel Management (OPM); AND - Managing staffing actions, employee personnel actions, recruitments, accessions, retirements, and separations, to include some characterized by high-levels of complexity and controversy. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
