Provides administrative and program support for the Emergency Department Managers (EM's) within Inpatient and Emergency Services Division.
Duties
Major Duties:
Providing program and administrative support
Providing technical and program support on all administrative and management functions including but limited to planning, programing, assessments, inspections, budgeting, training, data processing, personnel, equipment, property and logistic management
Preparing various personnel actions and recruitment requests to Human Resources
Preparing and monitoring various workload and cost reports
Analyzing cost items pertaining to labor, training, travel, space requirements, and equipment
Ensuring funds are available to cover charges related to the expenses of the organization
Reviewing office needs, plans, and goals to develop budget data and justification for review and approval.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. Qualifications

GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Knowledge in planning for and developing systems, policies, functions, and services to ensure all staff meet procedural, regulatory, and administrative requirements for work; Knowledge in ensuring that administrative processes are initiated, monitored, and completed timely and accurately in compliance with applicable directives, policies, and procedures.; Knowledge of maintaining timecard information on a recurring timeframe with payroll, posts timecard entries, ensures accurate and proper tour posting, verifies leave usage, transmits time and attendance documents to appropriate contacts; Knowledge of various specialized databases, cloud based contracted software and systems to record, report, monitor and carry out administrative support operations; Knowledge of preparing correspondence, i.e., reports, emails, letters, etc., related to overall program mission; Knowledgeable of protecting printed/electronic files containing sensitive data and unauthorized release, loss, alteration, or deletion; and knowledgeable on taking meeting minute notes on various committees, site visits and morning huddles.
Preferred Experience: 1 year of timekeeping and data processing experience.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS-07 level.
