You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist at the GG-12 level and perform tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and/or products. This position is located in Ft. Meade, MD. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will plan and carry out all assignments necessary to process all-source material and produce pertinent intelligence. You will identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, and evaluate the intelligence collected in response to those requirements. You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate and integrate data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of developments. You will maintain liaison with personnel in assigned and related fields, such as those in other intelligence agencies and allied foreign governments, to discuss mutual intelligence problems and production efforts.

• This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
• Required to maintain access to NSA campus and networks.
• This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating operational knowledge of capabilities and accesses of the collection disciplines, strengths and weaknesses of specific technical sensors/platforms, and human sources in area of responsibility; 2) Executing collection using appropriate collection strategies and within the priorities established through the collection management process; 3) Developing networks and builds alliances; collaborating across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals; and, 4) Applying principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance.
