Duties

This position is also open to status candidates under Announcement Number 24-PGA-MP-12224067-CWB. This position is located under the O??ice of Public and Governmental Affairs (PGA), Public Affairs Division (PAD) in Washington, District of Columbia.

Qualifications

This is a non-bargaining unit position. To qualify for 9, candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements. GS-9 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Drafting news releases, speeches, fact sheets, brochures, or other content that increase communication and understanding with the public; and Researching and analyzing information from various media formats and seeking additional resources to resolve gaps and inconsistencies; and Identifying and defining problems, extracting key information from data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations; and Utilizing computer applications to analyze and communicate information in the appropriate format. OR Completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree. OR Completion of an LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
