The primary purpose of this position is to process required documentation for report generation and statistical analysis for higher headquarters and APS management; ensures cargo and passenger manifests are properly prepared and submitted to the Aircraft Service Industrial Fund Integrated Computer System (ASIFICS) for accountability and reimbursement.
Duties
Plans and coordinates activities involving the processing of cargo and passenger records originating and transiting through the Aerial Port.
Prepares and submits Monthly Station Traffic Handling Report (RCS): AMC/DOZM (M&Q) 7107 report.
Ensures Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) database integrity.
Performs duties as file/records technician.
Maintains local databases, spreadsheets, and word processing files used for vital data collection.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Transportation Clerk and Assistant Series 2102.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of and extensive body of transportation rules, procedures, and operations to perform a wide variety of interrelated and nonstandard procedural assignments and resolve a wide range of problems. Knowledge of transportation instructions and regulations that relate to the worldwide movement of cargo, passengers, and aircraft. Knowledge of automated transportation systems to reconcile errors that require an understanding of nonstandard transportation procedures or provide subject-matter assistance. Knowledge of basic office automation functions of a limited ranged such as storing and retrieving documents or files; printing documents; inserting and deleting text items; producing letters and memorandums; entering data into a predefined spreadsheet; and transmitting and receiving electronic mail. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and terminology commonly used in office settings and knowledge of standard processing procedures, formats, distribution, and retention policies.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time--in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-06 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the full range of aerial port and transportation operations as related to the movement of cargo and passengers, and the instructions, regulations, directives, local operating procedures, governing entitlements, and shipment of cargo and passengers.
Knowledge regulations, directives, local operating procedures and other publications which prescribe documentation of cargo and passengers processing and movement regulations, and files set up and maintenance.
Ability to analyze, correlate and evaluate transportation information for input into automated data systems; knowledge of one or more automated transportation databases with ability to input a range of standard information, and generate a variety of recurring reports.
Knowledge of MS Office application software to perform word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail functions.
Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing. Good interpersonal skills and communicative skills are required.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
