THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D0872P01 and is part of the CO AASF, National Guard. The purpose or this position is to perform work involved in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, aligning, and maintaining the complete electronic integrated systems on Army National Guard helicopters.

Duties

Performs operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integrated systems composed of a number of sensor subsystems: Integrated Vehicle Health Management System (IVHMS), the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS), the Improved Countermeasure Dispenser System (ICMD), the Night Vision Goggle System (NVG), the Air Data Subsystem, the Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) and Doppler/GPS Navigation System (DGNS), Command Instrument Set (CIS) ; a logic subsystem-- the Multiplex Data Bus System (MUX), the Multiplex Remote Terminal Units (MRTU), Data Link Terminal Units (DLTU), and Digital Automatic Flight Control System (DAFCS); and actuating subsystems--, and the Digital Automatic Stabilization System (DASS), which includes the Stability Augmentation System (SAS) and Command Augmentation System (CAS) and Hover Augmentation System (HAS). Completes operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU). Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates material deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data, and assists in design changes as necessary. When designated on NGB Flying Status Orders, serves as member of flight crew for the purpose of diagnosing and recording malfunctions, or otherwise determining maintenance and repair requirements. Guides lower level mechanics in the performance of duties. Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as Operational Readiness Evaluations (ORE), Command Logistics Readiness Inspections (CLRT-X), and Aviation Resource Management Surveys (ARMS). Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Membership in the Colorado Army National Guard or those eligible to transfer.
• Must hold the grade of E-4 thru E-7.
• Compatible Military Assignment: 15N, 15F, 15Y, or 15L MOS.
• Submit all required documentation.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-4 thru E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: 15N, 15F, 15Y, or 15L MOS 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 18 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1. Experience in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic integrated systems equipment. 2. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic integrated systems equipment. 3. Experience interpreting Modification Work Orders (MWO) for application and / or troubleshooting. 4. Experience in using a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). 5. Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, wiring diagrams, and aircraft maintenance related publications. Preferred experience: - CH-47F troubleshooting experience - UH-60 A/L troubleshooting experience

Education

Education can not be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
