The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) are the centerpiece of the Attorney General's strategy to combat transnational-organized-crime and to reduce the availability of illicit narcotics in the nation by using a prosecutor-led, multi-agency approach to enforcement. OCDETF leverages the resources and expertise of its partners in concentrated, coordinated, long-term enterprise investigations of transnational organized crime, money laundering, and major drug trafficking networks.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to conduct and manage programs and initiatives that support intelligence-driven investigations and prosecutions that combat transnational organized criminal groups at every level.
Developing whole of government programs designed to disrupt and dismantle transitional criminal networks and the financial infrastructures that support them.
Conducts testing and evaluates nation-wide programs, processes, and activities to optimize efficiency.
Maintains quality control of all documentation related to the development and review processes.
Employs a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods in the assessment of program effectiveness, complex management processes, and systems studies.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Periodically reviews position descriptions to ensure accuracy, and the most effective utilization of resources.
Recognizes and takes appropriate action to correct situations posing a threat to the health or safety of subordinates.
Manages and synchronizes all input to components and other organizations as applicable.
Maintains full compliance with all related regulations and procedures that effect policies and provide guidance.
Advises the Director, Deputy Director, Associate Directors, and the Chief of Staff on the adequacy of proposed policies and programs.
Develops multi-year budget plans and annual operating budgets and identifies funding sources in support of program objectives.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.
- Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Program Manager, (GS-0340-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level (GS-14), to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure you submit an applicable SF-50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: Managing programs and initiatives to support investigations; maintaining quality control of documentation to meet program objectives; managing oversight of overall policies and programs for assigned area; developing multi-year budget plans in support of programs.
