The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment.

Duties

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Staff, Liebengood Center for Wellness, Employee Assistance Division.

Requirements

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. For the CP-12 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-11/GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes: 1) Expert level knowledge leading a team of highly skilled technical experts in executing a multifaceted agency-wide program; 2) Expert knowledge of employee assistance and human behavioral concepts, principles, techniques, practices, regulations and policies sufficient to plan, organize, and evaluate a comprehensive program; 3) Expert ability to create and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify the needs of the Department and provide support based on those needs; and 4) Advanced skill in briefing techniques sufficient to develop, prepare and present formal briefings to senior officials an conduct meetings and seminars for large and small working groups.
