You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Support Equipment (SE) & Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Department, SE Engineering Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Duties

You will manage cryogenic installations. You will direct the preparation of technical documentation. You will utilize cryogenic technical concepts, principles and practices. You will administer and coordinate installation test and evaluation efforts.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Performing technical analyses to formulate solutions or proposed fixes for API equipment used by ship/shore activities, while stressing reliability, maintainability, supportability, safety, operational readiness and performance; Performing technical analysis of API equipment with a specialty in cryogenics installations for ship and shore sites, and developing and coordinating drawings and other technical documentation with Tri-Service activities and industry; Providing in-briefs to NAVSEA and shipboard personnel at the commencement of installations to ensure all tasks required to complete installation are completed within time and budget restraints; Conducting site surveys and ship checks with shipyard or shore facility personnel; and Performing out briefs, acquiring final approvals and close-out, and providing operator orientation of the equipment after completion of the installation.
