This position is part of the NNSA Production Office, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will serve as Program Analyst (Program Liaison for Modernization Efforts), providing support to key core missions for maintaining the nuclear stockpile and supporting nuclear nonproliferation/counterproliferation.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-2 or GS-12. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience with ensuring regulatory compliance of programs and/or projects; and
Reviewing and interpreting guidance, program plans, and/or strategies; and
Resolving or recommending solutions to program issues; and provide corrective action.
Examples of Specialized Experience:
1. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify and resolve problems relating to an organization program(s) or procedures.
2. Experience analyzing and advising on the effectiveness of programs and operations or on the productivity and efficiency of management.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
