You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the TESTING SURVEILLANCE AND CALIBRATION DIVISION, MEASUREMENT SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Duties

You will manage the operations and logistics supporting Navy surveillance test programs for the US/UK TRIDENT Reentry Body system for Strategic Systems Programs. You will coordinate logistics resources to support sponsor requirements; coordinate and schedule shipping and receiving of TRIDENT hardware and associated Packaging Data Sheet (PDS) containers, and coordinating hardware inventories. You will monitor and evaluate processes, procedures, and practices to identify improvements that could enhance quality, efficiency, technical expertise, safety, security, morale or cost effectiveness. You will provide cost estimates on tasking and equipment related to logistics. You will create logistics logs and other written documentation for inclusion in reports and procedures.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing logistics requirements to coordinate resources and improve logistics functions for a warfare program.
