About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst within the Funds Management & Control Division of the Army Budget Office (ABO) located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Perform fund oversight, control, and distribution functions for assigned DA and OSD appropriations and accounts.
Develop and revise funding controls for assigned appropriations in accordance with the proper interpretation of standing federal rules and regulations.
Confirm funding availability and ensures that reprogrammed resources are held in GFEBS for reprogramming actions and mandated rescissions.
Prepare a variety of reports covering the status of assigned funds and advises appropriation sponsors and other management officials on the availability of funds for release or reprogramming.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all assigned DA appropriations, accounts, program funds, and areas of responsibility.
Keep current with new or changing legislation to identify issues, potential problems, and develop corresponding recommendations/updates that affect current DA regulations, policies, manuals, and/or Army financial systems.

- This is a Level 2 Financial Management certified position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing fund oversight, control and distribution functions in accordance with applicable regulations and laws; utilizing various accounting systems and databases to manage funds and research financial transactions; responding to budget inquiries from management; and performing reconciliation reports to ensure accounts remain in balance and adhere to audit requirement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
