About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst within the Funds Management & Control Division of the Army Budget Office (ABO) located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Perform fund oversight, control, and distribution functions for assigned DA and OSD appropriations and accounts. Develop and revise funding controls for assigned appropriations in accordance with the proper interpretation of standing federal rules and regulations. Confirm funding availability and ensures that reprogrammed resources are held in GFEBS for reprogramming actions and mandated rescissions. Prepare a variety of reports covering the status of assigned funds and advises appropriation sponsors and other management officials on the availability of funds for release or reprogramming. Responsible for establishing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all assigned DA appropriations, accounts, program funds, and areas of responsibility. Keep current with new or changing legislation to identify issues, potential problems, and develop corresponding recommendations/updates that affect current DA regulations, policies, manuals, and/or Army financial systems.
