About the Position:
This position is with the Assistant Secretary of the Army (M&RA), DASA Force Management, Manpower, Readiness, located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Serve as the Program Analyst and senior advisor on matters pertaining to resourcing of Army force structure to include participation in long range planning forums, such as the Total Army Analysis (TAA), and current year processes, such as the Army's Command Plan process.
Duties
Provides strategic direction on Army force structure decisions.
Participate in the Planning and Execution Phases of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES).
Recommend force sizing and resource strategies to senior leadership.
Formalize, implement, and execute Army plans and programs.
Prepare the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Manpower and Readiness for appearances at Congressional Committee hearings concerning Force Management and Manpower issues.
Serves as focal point for Army force structure resourcing issues during Total Army Analysis, Army Command Plan cycle, Army Concept Plans and Base Realignment and Closure actions. .
Requirements

Specialized Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: implement changes to force management and manpower processes/procedures; analyze various programs, functions, and issues to influence force structure decisions; develop force structure requirements and authorizations using an analytical process such as the: Total Army Analysis (TAA); and apply knowledge of the Federal budget process to evaluate resource implications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
