In this position you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling resources in support of ground or flight test, scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, coordinating with resource owners and enters operational status of resources into
automated scheduling system, and perform and provide accurate and meaningful weapons systems analysis.

Manages the overall real time coordination and integration of maintenance resources and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance actions including real time updates to data systems.
Develop maintenance plans for specific repair or modification projects or operations, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements for assigned aircraft and associated equipment.
Responsible for maintaining Data Documentation to include Aircraft Maintenance Historical Documentation, Aircraft Jacket Files, Aircraft Document Reviews.
Coordinates the implementation of the Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) Program, to include the application of individual TCTOs.
Communicate effectively with senior operations and maintenance personnel.
Plan, schedule, and take corrective action to meet emergency and regular workload requirements. Correlate and analyze a variety of routine production data, technical manuals, and directives to determine applicability.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-8 in the Federal Service.
Specialized experiences for this position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate are:
2 years of USAF F-15 & F-16 aircraft debriefing desired.
2 years of USAF IMDS and COOL database entry and retrieval desired.
2 years of flight test experience desired.
RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Ability to communicate and work with customers using a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
Knowledge of die capabilities/limitations of test support aircraft.
Knowledge and experience in the operations and scheduling of aircraft/engine resources, scheduled and unscheduled aircraft/engine maintenance requirements, flight line aircraft/engine maintenance activities, and data collection systems to optimize resource utilization.
Knowledge of the applications of scheduling and managing software.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret military aircraft and manufacturing terminology, technical orders, data, standards and instructions, and to relate them properly to the particular control projects assigned in preparing production plans and schedules and in maintaining effective follow-up.
