You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FST DEPT, FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will brief management and sponsors on aircraft systems logistics related information. You will resolve logistical issues by meeting with team members to mitigate conflicts that jeopardize the delivery of a respective aircraft. You will initiate cost-effective alternative policies and programs that impact overall logistics management support goals. You will develop an integrated logistical support (ILS) plan to support aviation weapons systems or subsystems programs.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a bargaining unit position.
• This position requires rotating shift work.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Expertly evaluating engineering and logistics data sources and authoring and editing assigned Technical Manuals using Quicksilver (Interleaf), Framemaker, Arbortext, EAGLE, PhotoShop and/or Illustrator software in accordance with S1000D and/or MIL-STD-3001 standard formats. 2) Establishing budget estimates for Engineering Change Proposals for program office decision making. 3) Reviewing Statements of Work and associated deliverables and contract documents that are required to implement changes in Naval aircraft or associated systems. 4) Providing guidance and direction to ensure that major aircraft and weapons systems configurations are properly managed and maintained in required reporting systems.
