As an Executive Staff Assistant (Office of the General Counsel) at the GS-0301-9/11, you will be part of the Office of General Counsel, EEOC. If selected, you will be responsible for articulating the views and desires of the General Counsel in the development, coordination, and execution of a variety of activities, events, and projects.
Duties
Keeps informed of the General Counsel's activities, commitments, and assignments through proper notation and editing of their calendar.
Reserves space, schedules time, contacts participants, etc., prior to meetings and appearances.
Oversees and monitors direct support requirements for conferences, meetings, and seminars.
Ensures all payroll is coded and processed properly for transmittal to the Interior Business Center (IBC).
Ensures all actions are initiated in the Federal Personnel Payroll System (FPPS).
Collects, assembles, and prepares reports, information, and other data for the General Counsels use in delivering speeches, attending conferences, appearing before congressional committees, etc.
Ensures that the General Counsel's travel arrangements are scheduled, processed, and verified in the E2 Travel System.
Requirements

- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
- Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Qualifications
For the GS-09: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal Service that equipped you with responsibility for carrying out and coordinating administrative matters and activities as directed; review, analyze, and respond to a variety of administrative/technical needs of an office; and address matters that are confidential and sensitive in nature.
OR
You must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
For the GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal Service that equipped you with the ability to code and process timecards; initiate personnel actions; prepare travel arrangements; independently coordinate and manage special events and projects; manage multiples assignments; conduct research and gather information from a variety of sources; and communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide variety of individuals.
OR
You must have a Ph. D. or equivalent doctorate or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related.
