About the Position: This position is located at US Army Training Support Center (ATSC), Fort Eustis, VA.

Duties

Performs a variety of IT-related services and actions that support the overall divisions responsibility for Army Training Help Desk (ATHD) customer assistance functions. Serves as the division point of contact for various web-based systems proponents for all information support. Provide assistance and training to the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) community in the area of new and emerging training technologies. Responsible for the underlying programming assistance and automation hardware support necessary to accomplish the functions of training design and development in a high technology environment. Provides support to computer specialists and training developers.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08). *NOTE: Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
