The primary purpose of this position is to serve is to manage all aspects of information systems to include acquisition, support, training, and installations. Maintain and manage Security Forces law enforcement databases/systems, and coordinate maintenance through Non-classified Internet Router (NIPR), land mobile radio (LMR), government cell phones and local telephone systems.
Duties
Administers information systems. Monitors ongoing operation of network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning properly and that operational standards are met.
Serves as project officer for recommending selection of and installing new computer systems and software and maintaining all computer systems.
Law Enforcement Reporting System Administrator. Responsible for the administration of Law Enforcement Reporting System to include: New user access; re-validations, and deletions.
The incumbent acts as agency point of contact required by the State and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Biometric and Final Disposition Database Administrator. Maintains and trouble shoots systems in support of Biometric Data Collection and Final Disposition Reporting of Law Enforcement cases.

- Employee must be familiar with law enforcement reporting data systems, Biometric data collection systems, Defense Biometric Identification System , Land Mobile Radios, Government Cell Phones, Camera systems and Non-classified Internet Router.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours.
- Information Assurance (IA) Level II Certification is a condition of employment. The incumbent must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six (6) months of assignment to these duties. A waiver may be granted.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience gained performing a variety of related tasks requiring differing methods and procedures to operate, install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software, explaining system capabilities, limitations, and output variations to users and resolves problems for users who encounter system related problems, making modifications according to hardware and software constraints, customer needs, existing system capabilities, workload, and priority.

EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree ortwo full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in an appropriate field leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT COPIES OF YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of automated data processing and networking standards, policies, and techniques.
Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems and their interfaces; and higher level programming languages and other job control languages.
Knowledge of data content and output options for a variety of administrative, scientific and/or technical program applications that are processed on any of several multi-program operating systems.
Knowledge of facility environment and infrastructure to support computer systems.
Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions; and train users on new computer systems.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
