This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain Personnel of the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, CIO/G-6, NEC, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Develop Cyber Security policies and procedures. Resolve complex network security problems with the Defensive Cyber Operations team members and Defensive Cyber Operations-Element counterparts. Monitor Cyber Security compliance for the Directorate and the National Guard Bureau (NGB). Ensure all Cyber Security Program policy is disseminated and enforced.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent to hold Management Level 3 Certification under DoD Directive 8570.1 (IA Training, Certification and Workforce Management) and related implementing policies.

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Developing plans for IT Security systems that integrate into the network; Facilitating Information Assurance (IA) Certification and Accreditation and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance; Provide Information technology security requirements, such as Risk Management Framework, security architecture, and IT systems security practices to the organization. My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
