About the Position: Serve in a secure facility during a 12-hour shift in two-person integrity position in the USARAK Command Center (UCC).
Duties
Action officer responsible for implementation of the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) Emergency Action Program to include maintaining communication security (COMSEC) and tactical satellite (TACSAT) radio communications with higher headquarters
Conducts daily shift change, exchanging current and relevant information with the out-going shift; inventories and signs for sensitive and classified SECRET equipment/items maintained in the UCC.
Participate at multiple levels in command and control exercises and real world operations.
Manage Commander Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) in accordance with USARAK and US Army Pacific (USARPAC) CCIR implementation instructions, regulations, established checklists, standard operating procedures, and Commander's guidance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Works in rotating shifts and is required to work weekends, holidays, and nights, based upon mission requirements.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance appropriate to the position.
- This position has been identified as being a Key Position under the provisions of AR 690-11. A Key position is defined as any Army position that cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization.

Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in managing components of emergency management program(s) and/or activities during an emergency response such as; home station operations planning and execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Emergency Management, Fire Safety, Public Safety .

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
