This position is in the Facilities Services Department of the Facilities Management Division, and reports to the Chief of Facilities Management in the Office of the Administrator. The incumbent is Head of the Facilities Services Department, and responsible for providing leadership to the Department’s functions:
Building services
Special events support
Work Control Center
Pest management
Service Contracts Management

Qualifications
Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-301-15.
Specialized Experience:
For this position, specialized experience is at least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service, or equivalent, managing components of a major facility that is frequented by the public to include building services, special events support, Work Ticket Services, and pest management of a major facility that is frequented by the public.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Experience managing a building services department responsible for routine and emergency housekeeping and maintenance in public and non-public spaces.
Experience ; managing a special event department responsible for organizing, staffing, and executing responsibilities for set-ups/breakdowns special events, which include concerts, receptions, educational events, and staff events; managing a work control center management of workflow, tracking, inventory control and reporting.
Experience managing a pest control team, responsible for minimizing or eliminating pest activity with the safest methods for the collection and occupants on the campus; managing service contracts management overseeing the performance of various service contracts such as refuse removal, recycling, windows cleaning, and floor care contracts.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise staff, to include planning, organizing, reviewing work, administering personnel matters, dealing with employees and overseeing the performance of various service contracts such as refuse removal, recycling, windows cleaning, and floor care contracts.

Mastery knowledge of and demonstrated successful experience and ability assisting in the execution of building maintenance operations including major and minor repair, restoration, alteration routine, and emergency housekeeping and maintenance in public and non-public spaces in a museum, cultural institution, or similar organization.
Mastery technical knowledge and experience in planning, organizing, staffing, and executing the Facilities Management Division’s responsibilities for the Gallery’s special events, which include concerts, receptions, educational events, and staff events.
Knowledge of IPM methods, safety standards and proactive planning and execution of the maintenance and resolution programs.
Technical knowledge and experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management program) for workflow management and inventory control.
Mastery knowledge of and demonstrated successful experience and ability assisting in the execution of contract package preparation and contract management for procurement of services and goods.
