Incumbent serves as the Customer Service Representative and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) support specialist for the Facilities Management Division (AFM) and reports directly to Assistant Department Head – AFM Facility Services. AFM consists of approximately 133 full time equivalent federal employees, ranging in grade from WG-3 to GS-15 and consists of over 20 diverse positions.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-301-9. For this position, specialized experience is at least one year of experience equivalent in responsibility to the GS-7 level in the federal service, with a successful track record of accurately establishing and activating Preventive Maintenance Procedures and Tasks in Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) for an organization or major institution. Thorough knowledge and understanding of personal computers and commercial software associated with the responsibilities of the position: word processing, spreadsheets and data base management, including creation of automated forms on MS Office Suite. Knowledge and understanding of the Gallery’s CMMS System. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; skill in research and fact finding, and the ability to analyze and problem solve.  "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration under merit promotion procedures.
