You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in THE JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL of NLSC.

Duties

You will serve as Senior IT Specialist for NLSC commands within assigned area of responsibility (AOR). You will provide daily operational support to commands while functioning under the administrative and managerial oversight of Code 67. You will be primarily responsible for IT customer support for the NLSC regional command to which they are assigned. You will ensure the organization's strategic plans, mission, vision, and values are communicated to other local IT professional(s). You will execute duties related to adjustments, modifications, and revisions to meet objectives. You will serve as the main point of contact for all actions related to the assigned NLSC region’s IT team. You will use a ticketing system to plan and execute lifecycle replacements of IT hardware across the geographic AOR. You will provide technical assistance to customers to minimize disruptions of computer operations, troubleshooting, escalation, and tracking of information technology (IT) problems. You will proactively identify, research, and propose opportunities to employ technical solutions to drive efficiency and improve mission accomplishment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Customer Support level II within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as: Providing advice and guidance on a wide range of complex IT issues to management and personnel; 2) Conducting analyses and recommend resolution of complex issues affecting the specialty area; 3) Utilizing applications, operating systems, protocols, and equipment used in customer organizations and methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering adjusting modifying and improving IT systems; and 4) Communicating effectively and collaboratively while with multiple chains of command to resolve IT issues. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
