The Office of Enforcement Operations (OEO) provides investigative & prosecutorial support, legal advice, and statutorily required review and approval in almost 40 distinct subject areas. OEO oversees the use of the most sophisticated investigative tools of the federal government, including electronic surveillance, the Federal Witness Security Program, media subpoenas, and witness immunity requests. OEO provides legal advice to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies on these programs.
Duties
As a Program Support Assistant your duties will include:
Reviewing requests for electronic surveillance.
Developing and generating reports for the purpose of assisting management with assessing productivity.
Promoting communications, teamwork and partnerships, and a collegial work environment by
providing guidance regarding clerical matters.
Receiving requests from other organizations for information concerning the electronic surveillance program.
Assisting in developing and implementing plans for disseminating routine information.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-08: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-07 federal grade level. This experience must include duties such as: preparing electronic surveillance requests; performing internal reviews and studies of management controls; and analyzing existing support services programs.
All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools that meet this criteria, see www.ed.gov.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
