About the Position: Incumbent will perform a variety of administrative tasks in the areas of office automation, purchasing, property control, personnel actions, reports, and financial system data input.
Duties
Provides assistance and guidance to others involved in time keeping activities.
Reviews, interprets and applies administrative guidelines applicable to project operations.
Maintains office calendar of visitors, meetings, vacations, inspections and events.
Maintains accounting data on all travel made by project personnel and provides reports as required.
Ensures payroll documentation is compliant with regulations and local policy.
Prepares responses to correspondence which are of administrative or financial interest.
Coordinates training requirements throughout the year with the District Training Officer.
Monitors and maintains ongoing overview of the district office's financial situation and keeps the supervisor informed.
Receives all purchases and monitors funding and invoices.
Requirements

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: procedural and administrative work in an office environment; make travel arrangements to include preparing orders and vouchers; coordinate training requirements; assist in preparation and analysis of operating budget; use an automated personnel database to initiate personnel actions; use a financial management system to complete duties as timekeeper and complete weekly labor reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent:
