About the Position: This position is located in Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. This position will service the Nutrition Care Division (NCD) located on the 1st Floor of the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH). The hours of operations are 0730-1600. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Maintain an updated financial accounting sheet/report to account for daily financial cash operations. Maintain all financial and contracting requirements to support the Nutrition Care Division operations. Monitor food contracts to ensure accurate billing, reconciling, and timely vendor payments. Maintain a 100% inventory and provide daily accountability of rations earned and expenditure.

Requirements

• This is a Financial Management Level 1 position. The incumbent must complete training and meet requirements for certification at Level 1 within 1 year of appointment. Failure to obtain and maintain certification may result in adverse action.
• This position may require occasional travel (up to 5%).
• This position has been designated Weather Essential. In the event of inclement weather conditions, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing food orders from vendors and/or contractors; entering daily receipts and accounting data into a computer system; reviewing accounting regulatory requirements; and providing daily accountability of inventory for food items. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
