Qualifications

To qualify for 14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13. Additional Conditions of Employment: GS-14 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Serving as technical expert and performing liaison activities with Congress; AND Establishing and maintaining relationships with Members of Congress and staff; AND Analyzing and evaluating legislative and appropriations issues; AND Writing testimony in defense of funding requests before Congress; AND Preparing clear and concise correspondence, reports and briefings. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
