You will serve as a LEAD REGIONAL EMERGENCY RESPONCE DISPATCHER (OA) in the COMMANDER, NAVY INSTALLATIONS of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS.
Duties
You will obtain necessary the necessary information from various monitoring sources or individuals and dispatching police, fire, and medical emergency services.
You will distribute workload among employees in accordance with established workflow.
You will ensure all policies and regulations are followed and ensures safety in operations and training at all times.
You will receive emergency and on-emergency requests by telephone, mobile radio, mobile data computers or automatic alarms.
You will receive, analyze and disseminates information from an unlimited number of contacts for many purposes, including calls of distress, requests for non-emergency assistance, informational inquires, and official notifications.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:
1) Operating various systems such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, radio equipment, trunking radio and talk group systems, Enhanced 911 telephone systems and fire and security alarm systems to respond/communicate to law enforcement, fire, medical, hazmat emergencies;
2) Processing multiple requests (e.g., communicating with emergency caller while communicating with police or fire dispatch) for emergency services simultaneously;
3) Coordinating emergency responses in accordance with inter-agency procedures and installation organizations; and
4) Making workload adjustments to improve services rendered as incidents/emergencies occur. Note: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
