This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. Duties

As an Office Administrator, you will: Personally assist in shaping priorities and defining issues associated with Human Resources Management. Develop an understanding of the major issues current and long term, which are being pursued by the Office of Human Capital Services (OHCS). In particular, follow those issues that are known to be of particular interest to the Director/Deputy Director of OHCS. Maintain liaison with the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO), the program offices and the office of the Secretary and Deputy Secretary, as well as of principles in other agencies, as necessary. Ensure a timely flow of information and good communication within OHCS and between Program Offices within the Department Take appropriate steps to ensure that the Director/Deputy Director of OHCS and other appropriate officers are fully informed of the ongoing efforts and long-term plans of the organization.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Troubleshooting office support issues and performing administrative functions such as scheduling meetings and conferences, controlling correspondence, or maintaining appointment calendars for management; AND Establishing administrative goals or objectives to help promote office efficiency and productivity; AND Researching and interpreting information needed to prepare reports and to respond to requests for information; AND Tracking, preparing, and administering budgets; providing recommendations on budgetary requirements; and/or organizing and maintaining annual budgetary records. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
