You will serve as the APEO T&E for PEO-T; an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER OR SCIENTIST in the ENGINEERING & CYBER WARFARE GROUP (V5), SYSTEMS ENGINEERING & TEST DEPARTMENT (V53) of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will maintain insight and advised on the adequacy and quality of technical and test support.
You will conveying schedules and requirements for support, test, and engineering products to the
NAWCAD Product Directors and the Division.
You will track the status of key products being generated in support program events, milestones, and plans.
You will actively identify and pursue risk mitigation actions and secure organizational support as required.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Providing expert insight and advice concerning the PEO portfolio-wide cost/schedule/performance health, systemic issues, resource and facilities, risk; 2) Conveying PEO's schedules and requirements for support and test & evaluation products to the NAWCAD Product Directors and Naval Test Wings; 3) Tracking the status of key test activity and products being generated in support of PEO's program events, milestones, and plans; 4) Acting as a catalyst and enabler for resolution of key PEO technical/test issues and risks; On behalf of the PEOs, the NAVAIR Engineering Group, and the Naval Test Wings; 5) Representing the NAVAIR Engineering Group and PEO in program reviews and acquisition reviews as determined by the Program Manager/APMT&E and PEO; 5) Supervising APMET&Es and LTEs within Naval Test Wing Atlantic in support of the PEO; 6) Collaborating with the APMT&Es, maintains insight on program technical/test issues and support as needed the APMT&Es responsible to mitigate and eliminate these issues. Keep the Naval Test Wings, the NAVAIR Engineering Group and the PEO advised on the adequacy and quality of T&E support for the PEO.

For the 1515 series: Basic Requirements:
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
For the 1550 series: Series Definition:
This series includes professional positions which primarily involve the application of, or research into, computer science methods and techniques to store, manipulate, transform or present information by means of computer systems. The primary requirements of the work are (a) professional competence in applying the theoretical foundations of computer science, including computer system architecture and system software organization, the representation and transformation of information structures, and the theoretical models for such representations and transformations; (b) specialized knowledge of the design characteristics, limitations, and potential applications of systems having the ability to transform information, and of broad areas of applications of computing which have common structures, processes, and techniques; and (c) knowledge of relevant mathematical and statistical sciences.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
Evaluation of Education:
Applicants should have sufficient knowledge to understand the fundamental concepts and techniques of computer science. Courses designed to provide an introduction to computer science techniques and methodologies, to problems of system design, and to other specialized fields are acceptable. Courses or experience in teaching elementary, business, or shop mathematics are not acceptable.
